Apartment Review for Macon Manor Apartments - Memphis, TN

I'm shocked no one has written a review in a while on this place. My bestfriend moved in here January 2010 and moved out within a couple of months. The smell when she moved in was horrible. Instead of maintenance cleaning - they spray painted over the dirty in the kitchen SINK and the STOVE. Spray paint! In the bathroom over the toilet - the ceiling was leaking from the toilet above. In two months it wasn't repaired and black mold formed (I still have pictures of it). The last straw for her moving out was when she was on the toilet someone upstairs flushed and it came through the ceiling down onto her. Not only is this place INCREDIBLY dirty it is VERY unsafe and unhealthy. The gun shots and fighting was the least of her concerns - compared to the living conditions. Do NOT rent from here.
